Huawei Positioned in Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud Database Management Systems Report for Two Consecutive Years

With GaussDB databases, Huawei was named as a Niche Player in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems report released by Gartner recently. Only two cloud vendors in Asia, including Huawei, were positioned in the report.
Since 2020, HUAWEI has been placed in the report for two consecutive years. We believe HUAWEI CLOUD GaussDB fully meets customers' requirements in terms of technologies and services.
Preferred for finical-grade enterprises, increasing market influence
Thanks to its long-term experience and advantages in serving government and enterprise customers, GaussDB databases have been commercially used by more than 1,500 customers in a wide range of sectors, such as finance, government, telecom, energy, transportation, healthcare, logistics, and e-commerce. GaussDB has been proved to meet various enterprise-grade requirements.
According to Gartner Market Share Analysis: Database Management Systems, Worldwide, 2020 report released in June 2021, HUAWEI CLOUD databases’ market share ranked 10th in the global revenue, with a growth rate of 48.5%. HUAWEI CLOUD has made remarkable achievements in the database market.
Continuous technology Innovation to build comprehensive cloud services
GaussDB focuses on six basic research directions, such as financial-grade high availability, cloud stack vertical integration, and encrypted databases, to develop cloud-native databases.
